Ministers of the Word - Liturgy of the Word:

"Christ is present in his word, since it is he himself who speaks, when the holy scriptures are read in church." (n.7)

 

"In the liturgy God speaks to his people and Christ is still proclaiming his gospel." (n.33)

 

As far as the Mass is concerned, it is made up of two parts, the liturgy of the Word and the liturgy of the Eucharist, but that according to Constitution (n.56), they constitute "one whole act of worship"

 

Why not volunteer to proclaim God's Word by becoming A Minister of the Word?

 

 

 

By becomng a Eucharistic Minister, you respond to the call of your baptism to live as an active disciple of Jesus.

To assist the Celebrant of the Mass in the distribution of Holy Communion is a privileged ministry. 

 

Why not apply to join in this ministry? 

 

 

 

The role of a Church Steward is one of service to those who come to our Church,

 

It involves welcoming people as the arrive at the entrance, distributing Mass leaflets, gathering the collection baskets and taking them to the sacristy. At the end of Mass the baskets are placed on the seats for the next service. 

 

Volunteers are most welcome to apply to any one of the above Church Ministries.
